Welcome to my first blog post! First and foremost, I pray Matthew 6:10, “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” My purpose for writing is my father’s will. Having a passion and love for writing has never been enough encouragement to make me take the leap into this journey of self-publishing and gaining the title of Author. But purpose carried me through the climb…and still is. Fear, shame, nor any self-deprecating negativity can contain the power that purpose provides to charge one’s spirit into the life they were created for. As Jesus commanded, I aim to share the messages in the Bible with little children in a manner they can understand and in turn, apply. Thank you for taking the time to drop by and hopefully be part of this mission to share the gospel with little children everywhere!
Not too long ago, I began to seek God. No new position, relocation, or tangible thing was fulfilling me. I desired a closeness to God that I had when I first got saved over twenty years ago: the weightlessness that came with walking with God and being filled with His spirit. Although I have always wanted to write, I hadn’t had the confidence to pursue this as a career for a long time. Without making this an autobiography about me, I will say that any attempt I had ever made at pursuing something, has never yielded the results that pursuing God has rewarded me with. While the feats are primarily inward, they are beginning to spill out. I’ve worked educating children for most of my adult life. I have also been in and out of the church my entire life. I believe that God has encouraged me to spread his amazing and transforming gospel to children. My books include Bible stories, but they also include stories that explain the teaching of the Bible and answer practical questions that children have. I write them to help little ones not only learn the Word but retain it and apply the Word in their lives.
Whoever my books reach is God’s will. And as I continue to study and learn, I will teach the children.
